Getting Paid for Raids or RIPs

As a Raider completing work for a Raid or RIP, securing payment follows a structured process to ensure transparency and fairness. Here’s how to request your payment, manage Guild spoils, and optionally purchase shares to increase your stake in RaidGuild.

Requesting Payment

To receive payment for a completed Raid or RIP, submit a funding proposal to RaidGuild DAO. This proposal should specify the amount requested, based on the terms agreed upon by the Raid Party.

You may elect to receive up to 20% of your payment in voting shares, with the remaining amount provided in Loot or another approved token, such as wxDAI.

Spoils and Shares

Guild Spoils Contribution (10%)

For each payment made to a Raid Party, 10% of the total invoice is contributed to RaidGuild as Guild spoils. This tribute supports the Guild’s infrastructure, covering resources and the network that helped bring in the client.

  • Example: If a milestone payment from a client is 1,000 DAI, 100 DAI will be allocated to the Guild as spoils, leaving 900 DAI for distribution among Raid Party members.

This contribution ensures that RaidGuild’s ecosystem thrives and continues to provide opportunities for all members.

Member Share Purchase (Optional, Up to 20%)

To strengthen their involvement within RaidGuild, members can use up to 20% of their earnings from any Raid to purchase voting shares as proof of contribution.

  • Share Cost: Shares are valued at 5 wxDAI per share.
  • Example: If a member receives 1,000 DAI for their work, they can allocate up to 200 DAI to purchase shares, acquiring up to 40 voting shares.

This option allows members to increase their ownership within RaidGuild without diluting existing shares, as shares are purchased rather than issued for free. The 20% cap maintains balance and prevents excessive accumulation of shares in the Guild.

Following these steps and understanding the Guild’s payment structure will ensure timely compensation and provide pathways for increased involvement and influence within RaidGuild.
